Star Construction, Inc.  is seeking a self-motivated, punctual, and courteous individual for an Assistant Construction Supervisor to join our residential construction and remodeling team. This is a full time position with the potential to grow into a supervisory position in a growing home construction project.

Start Times: Summer Hours: 7:30am | Winter Hours: 8:00am

 Primary Responsibilities:

  •  ‘Hands -On’ Role with day to day field work
  • Maintains a clean job site both inside and on the exterior of homes: pick up all debris, tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
  • Maintains a clean project site on a daily basis
  • Directly helps coordinate and control project field operations and trades
  • Helps Maintain Project Schedule, Quality, Safety and Security
  • Material handling and storage
  • Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
  • In conjunction with owner, development of project master schedule and advising on issues that have impact on project schedule
  • Hands on labor as needed to complete the job and keep project moving forward

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to present at least one professional reference
  • Pass drug screening and background check
  • 1 year on-the-job experience in residential home construction labor or general labor
  • Ability to effectively communicate with professional contractors and skilled trades
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • OSHA Training - Strongly Preferred
  • Physically able to lift heavy loads 
  • Highly disciplined and able to follow instructions 
  • Strong problem resolution skills
  • Task and goal orientation
